So, in my free time I manage a cattle show team. It's the largest in the state. And it is out of this adorable little farm! In the fall I will be moving away for school so right now I am training all the kids to be able to do this on their own. We are going into year number 2 and it is going to be amazing! We have 16 kids currently on our show team and wonderful heifers that they have all worked to halter train.
Here is one of the mama cows.
The show heifers travel all over to be shown by these kids. It's really amazing! I love these kids to death! They are all amazing and hard workers and have grown so much working with these animals. It's such a blessing to get to be a part of it! Cows are a wonderful tool to teach a lot of life skills. Communication, respect, work ethic, perseverance, self esteem, confidence and so much more. I can't think of anything else that can teach this so well! Anyway. Since I'm sure I will have some pictures from the spring show season on here at some point I thought it might be important to give you a background of what's going on.
This is my hobby!
